Hang out
Voice chat with friends on any website
Open a page, hit Join and talk. You hear each other and see each other’s cursors on the same page. No call link, no screen sharing, no switching apps.
SPOT runs in Chrome on your computer.
Guest favouriteHow it works
- 1
Add SPOT to Chrome
You and your friends each add it once. It’s free.
- 2
Open the same page
Send your friends the link, or meet in your Spot.
- 3
Join and talk
Hit Join, then hold V to talk. Push-to-talk keeps it quiet until you mean it.
Questions?
Do my friends need SPOT too?
Yes. Everyone adds SPOT to Chrome once, for free. Then any page you all open becomes a place to talk.
Are voice chats recorded?
No. Voice goes directly between the people in the chat whenever possible, and it’s never recorded.
Do I have to hold a key to talk?
Push-to-talk is on by default: hold V to talk. You can switch to an open mic.
Does it work on every website?
Almost all of them, from YouTube to your favorite shop. Chrome doesn’t let extensions run on its own pages, like the new tab page or the Chrome Web Store.
